What are your overall comments on the trip and travel company? 

The trip exceeded our expectations, and we attribute much of the success to Luxury Travel Agency Vietnam. I would not hesitate to use their services again and have already told my friends how pleased we were with the entire trip. Maryna Do, the agent with whom we worked could not have been more responsive, diligent, and thoughtful. She worked with me over the course of many e-mails to help me modify our itinerary and plan the exact trip we wanted.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet her our first night in Hanoi, where she met us for a welcome dinner. It was a lovely touch. We always have traveled on our own, but we knew that we needed assistance with this trip, and Luxury Travel Agency Vietnam executed flawlessly. A guide and driver promptly met us at each airport, Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Siem Reap, and Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai Thailand

The only problem arose when Bangkok Air delayed our flight form Chiang Mai to Bangkok by more than three hours and did not provide either those on the flight or the arrival airport of the new arrival time. I called Luxury Travel Agency Vietnam and was told that, because the guide could not be reached, we should just take a taxi, and we would be reimbursed.

Ho Chi Minh City

All our guides were competent and charming. The drivers all provided water (most kept it in a cooler with ice), several also provided cold wipes to refresh us as we returned to the car – all of which were wonderfully air conditioned. In sum, Luxury Travel Agency Vietnam helped us have a wonderful and memorable vacation.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip? 

The wonderful people of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand must be mentioned first. Cruising Ha Long Bay and visiting the temples of Angkor Wat was a dream come true. Visiting the Chu Chi Tunnels was an unexpectedly interesting event. Bangkok is an exciting city of contrasts, but we also loved the summer palace built by Rama V.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently? 

We wish we had at least one more day in Hanoi, just to explore it on our own. We really did not have time to visit the art galleries, which we had read about. Certain things, like riding an elephant, we would not do again, because it really is a once-in-a-life thing to do.

No
